The Women's Centre The Women's Centre provides
an holistic support service which includes; outreach support, education
and training, and advice centre staffed by fully qualified personnel, a
drop-in centre and creche facilities.
The Women's Centre Outreach Support Project
provides an Outreach Worker and Community Based Childworker who work with
women and their children who have been rehoused from the refuge, those
women in need of support but who have chosen to remain in their own home,
referrals from other agencies and any vulnerable women in the local
community.
The Women's Centre provides an extensive
range of self-development, pre-vocational and vocational
opportunities. It also offers certificate courses focused on the
needs of women and children. The Centre has designed it's own course
called 'New Horizons' Open College Network Level II aimed towards building
self-esteem and introduction to learning. 'Journey to Freedom',
Parenting and 'Girl Power' are also available.
Inter-Agency
Coleraine Women's Aid participates in the
Causeway Domestic Violence Inter-Agency Forum and the Law Centre
Practitioners Forum.
