Training Ethos
"To create a safer community through
challenging individuals and agencies to work inclusively and
collaboratively to eliminate domestic violence and to promote
a non-violent society for us all."
Women's Aid Federation Northern Ireland provides specialist training in domestic violence and related issues for Women’s Aid staff, voluntary groups and statutory agencies such as the police, social workers and inter-agency forums. This is a valuable resource in raising awareness, developing responses, policies and strategies in relation to domestic violence.
The content and format of domestic violence training offered by
Women's Aid will be negotiated and agreed with individual groups seeking training.
The duration of the training may vary according to need.
All training is delivered by a highly professional team of experienced workers .
Good policy guidelines and practice are shared through the training.
