Services
We
exist to provide information, support and practical help to
women and children who are or have been experiencing domestic
violence.
There
are currently 3 full-time members of staff: -
An
Aftercare Worker who works with women and children,
either in the centre or in their own homes. This worker
will plan weekly programmes for women focusing on all aspects
of personal development.
A
Development Worker who promotes the services of Women's
Aid and raises awareness of the extent of domestic violence in
the local area. If you wish to book this worker to come
and talk to your group, organisation or school arrange an
appointment via the Centre.
A
Community Child Care Worker who works closely with
children who have witnessed domestic violence or who have been
victims of abuse. The work is either carried out in the
Centre or in the children's home. Activities and outings
are also arranged.
